Description
The solar panel park that has been put into use in Alliance in the Commewijne district will provide approximately 70 households with constant electricity. District Commissioner of Commewijne, Mohamedsafiek Radjab, said at the opening of the project on Friday that it is important for the community to increasingly use renewable energy in the district.
Technical director of the EBS, Marcel Eyndhoven, indicates that the solar panels limit the emission of toxic gases released into the air. He explains that less fuel is also used for energy generation by using solar panels.
The solar panel system has a capacity of 200 kilowatt hours. The project was partly financed by the Inter American Development Bank (IDB). According to the EBS technical director, the state is working to provide affordable, safe and clean electricity to its citizens. The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) is an important partner that provides financial support to Suriname.
We at HSW Energy have had the pleasure of carrying out the total construction for Civil, Electrical & Mechanical works of this solar plant.
